The 2014-2015 Phone Book, this community’s only all-local telephone directory, has arrived.
Distribution of The Phone Book, which is published annually by The Greenwood Commonwealth, began today. It will be distributed to every household and business in Leflore and Carroll counties.
This year’s cover features a Delta sunflower.
“We hope our community finds the new Phone Book useful,” said Editor and Publisher Tim Kalich. “We’ve been told it’s the most popular phone directory in Leflore and Carroll counties. It certainly is the most attractive and the easiest to read.”
The white pages are divided into five major geographical areas — Greenwood, Itta Bena, Schlater, Carrollton and Vaiden. The yellow pages are sorted alphabetically by classification.
In addition to updated land line numbers, The Phone Book includes cellphone numbers and email addresses that were provided voluntarily to the Commonwealth.
The distribution of The Phone Book should be completed by Sept. 5, weather permitting. After that date, any households or businesses that were missed should call the Commonwealth’s Circulation Department at 453-6589. Missed copies will be delivered.
Additional copies can be picked up at the Commonwealth or the following locations:
