Two young men were killed in an earling morning single vehicle accident Saturday in Greenwood.
Brandon Davis and Tarrio McMiller were pronounced dead at the scene after crashing around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.
The two men had been traveling eastbound on U.S. 82 when their car, a 1995 Chevrolet Corvette, apparently struck a tree in the highway median near the Main Street/Highway 49 overpass.
Both men were already dead by the time rescue workers arrived on the scene, said Greenwood Fire Chief Marcus Banks.
The vehicle had Leflore County license plates, but addresses for the two men were not immediately available.
Firefighters used a winch, the jaws of life and other equipment to remove the bodies from the badly damaged car.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
