A funeral for a father and daughter with Greenwood connections who were shot and killed in San Francisco, Calif., will be Tuesday in Greenwood
Chasity Monique Dollison, 20, and her father, Allen Rassaan Vance, 39, both of San Francisco, were slain while sitting in a car on June 13.
Services will be at noon Tuesday at House of Prayer and Praise in Greenwood.
Dollison has family in Greenwood, including a sister, Synthia T. Dollison.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, someone approached a car parked near San Francisco’s Silver Avenue and Elmira Street around 10:20 p.m. June 13 and opened fire.
Dollison died at the scene; Vance died later at San Francisco General Hospital. A third victim, a 27-year-old man, was injured but expected to survive.
No arrests have been made.
Vance’s sister, Ella Vance-Paulk, said Saturday that police told them they couldn’t release any information when the family called about the homicide investigation.
A Facebook page, named “In Loving Memory of Rassaan and His Daughter Chasity,” has been set up to bring Vance home to be buried in Buffalo, N.Y.
According to the Facebook page, he was a Buffalo native who had moved with his family to San Francisco to better their lives. He was planning on attending school to be a drug abuse counselor, and Dollison was attending school while working two jobs.
Vance-Paulk said they’ve now raised enough money for her brother’s burial costs.
Dollison will be buried in the Willing Worker Cemetery in Greenwood’s Buckeye community.
