Three men have been charged in connection with the Jan. 13 burglary of a home on Rucker Circle, and a fourth suspect, a juvenile, is still being sought.
The third suspect, Montrellious Streeter, 24, 112 Western Circle, was arrested Tuesday and charged with residential burglary, said Leflore County Sheriff Ricky Banks.
The two others — Santonio Perry, 24, 32800 County Road 512, Lot No. 7, and Kelvin J. Brown, 22, 107 Rucker Circle — were arrested on the night of Jan. 13, not far from the burglarized residence, which is located at 105 Rucker Circle.
Perry and Brown initially were held for investigation and later were charged with burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary.
All three men have been released on bond.
Banks said the targeted residence has a home security system with an audible alarm. When the alarm sounded, the men fled, and “they didn’t have time to take anything,” the sheriff said.
Two deputies apprehended Perry and Brown a short time later, Banks said.
The sheriff said the department is still seeking the juvenile suspect. Banks said it is likely the juvenile will not be charged as an adult.
If convicted of residential burglary, Streeter, Perry and Brown could face a maximum of 25 years in prison.
