Services for Irene Givens of Greenwood will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Providence Missionary Baptist Church.
Ms. Givens, 68, died of heart failure Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, in Greenwood.
Ms. Givens was a member of Pleasant Plain Missionary Baptist Church. She was employed as a custodian at Amanda Elzy High School for 25 years.
She is survived by four daughters, Brenda F. Winters of Petal, Linda Givens-Brewer of Greenwood, Deloris Michael of Jackson and Emma J. Hardit of Bessemer, Ala.; two sons, Charles Givens and Michael Givens, both of Greenwood; five sisters, Jessie Mae Bradley of Greenwood, Lou Emma Phillip of Coila, Georgia Walls of New Brunswick, N.J., Johnnie Lou Hubbard of Bellwood, Ill., and Mary Cain of Kansas City; 15 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Sanders and Sanders Funeral Home.
The Rev. Willie Earl Brown will officiate at the services.
Sanders and Sanders Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Burial will be in Hudson Park Cemetery.
