Services for Earnest Lee Noland Jr. of Greenwood will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Great Southern Funeral Home.
Mr. Noland, 60, died of congestive heart failure Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010, in Greenwood.
He was born in Glendora and was a member of Strangers Home Missionary Baptist Church. He loved reading, keeping up with current events, watching TV and laughing with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earnest Noland Sr., and a brother. He previously worked at Church’s Chicken and Irvin Automotive.
Mr. Noland is survived by one son, Terrance Noland of Los Angeles, Calif.; his mother, Lillie P. Burkhead of Greenwood; six sisters, Dorthea Noland of Chicago, Delores Timmons of Marietta, Ga., Seria Noland of Decatur, Ga., Ella Ellis of Forest Park, Ga., Sylvia Gray of Madison and Cheryl Noland of Los Angeles, Calif.; and four brothers, Larry Burkhead of Jackson, Ricky Burkhead of Oxford, Wendell Noland of Los Angeles, Calif. and Johnny Cleveland of Chicago.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Great Southern Funeral Home.
The Rev. David Henderson will officiate at the services. Pallbearers will be Anthony Donley, Terrance Burkhead, Patrice Noland, Benton Johnson, Terry Lowe and Jerry Lowe. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Burkhead, Baldwin Burrow, Wendell Noland, Vasheem Noland, Jimmy Cleveland, Terrance Noland, Charles Griffin, Andrew McKinnon and Linborick Ellis.
Burial will be in Hudson Park Cemetery.
