The Nation's Weather for Friday, July 26, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Showers and thunderstorms will be fairly widespread across
the Southeast tomorrow. Afternoon thundershowers will again
develop in the Rockies, with perhaps a slightly greater
coverage of storms in the Colorado Rockies. Elsewhere in the
region, the heat will ease as the core shifts into the
central Plains. High temperatures at or above 100 degrees
Fahrenheit will be possible in northern Kansas and western
Nebraska, but the highest temperatures are expected in
south-central South Dakota. The desert Southwest will be
seasonably hot. Meanwhile, the Midwest and Northeast will
have temperatures fairly close to the historical average
with low levels of humidity. Temperatures will be below the
historical average in much of the Southeast, due to the
showers and thunderstorms.
