The Nation's Weather for Wednesday, January 31, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
The day will begin with a few showers from South Carolina to
Virginia as a fast-moving storm moves offshore tomorrow.
Rain can mix with a few wet snowflakes farther inland,
especially in the Appalachians. On the other side of the
nation, a potent storm will spread heavy rain across the
West Coast, especially from Northern California to
southwestern Oregon. By the nighttime hours, heavy rain can
spread farther south into Southern California as well. In
addition to the heavy rain, strong winds will develop, and
there is the risk for flooding and even power outages.
