The Nation's Weather for Sunday, January 7, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A potent storm moving across the eastern United States will
spread snow across much of the Northeast tomorrow. Rain can
mix with snow along the immediate coast. Snow can be heavy
at times across New England, which can lead to dangerous
travel conditions. Across the Great Lakes, snow will begin
to taper off to flurries for most, with the exception of
lake-effect snow showers continuing through the day along
the lakes. A few showers can occur in the peninsula of
Florida as a cold front makes its way southward. Snow will
fall across much of the Rockies as another storm tracks
eastward, while a rain shower or two can occur across
Southern California and Arizona. The center of the nation
will remain dry during the daytime, however rain and snow
will arrive in the southern and central Plains at night.
