The Nation's Weather for Wednesday, December 22, 2021
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A potent plume of moisture is expected to continue producing
heavy snow and rain across the West Coast tomorrow,
primarily in California. This can cause local flooding in
the foothills and across the coast, as well as heavy snow in
the Sierra Nevada and travel disruptions ahead of the
holiday. In the Great Lakes and Northeast, some snow is
anticipated to fall, with rain in southern New England.
Other than some spotty morning showers along the
mid-Atlantic coast, the rest of the nation is forecast to be
largely dry as mild conditions overtake the Plains and the
Southeast. Chillier air is likely to impact the Ohio Valley,
while the Texas and Florida coasts will be pleasant.
