The Nation's Weather for Thursday, April 6, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms will be capable of producing hail and damaging
winds from eastern Pennsylvania southward to eastern Georgia
tomorrow. Locally heavy rain from south-central Texas
through central and southern Mississippi could cause
instances of flash flooding. A new system will bring rain to
the coastal Northwest, from Washington to Northern
California. A colder and breezy day is expected around the
Great Lakes. The snowstorm will have moved away from the
northern Plains, but cold air will help to keep the recently
fallen snow on the ground. Meanwhile, Florida will have
temperatures well above the historical average and some
record highs may be set. Temperatures in the 80s are likely
in the central and southern mid-Atlantic, before much cooler
air arrives on Friday.
