The Nation's Weather for Tuesday, February 21, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
As a clipper system continues to quickly move eastward, a
broad area of intermittent light rain will extend from the
Tennessee Valley to coastal New England tomorrow. Farther
north in New England, some wet snow may fall and result in
minor accumulations. Meanwhile, a large and intense storm
system will take shape farther west, with very heavy snow
expected in the northern Rockies and northern Plains. In the
mountains, snow is expected to fall at all elevations across
Montana, Wyoming and Idaho, though the highest totals should
be found at the highest elevations. Over a foot of snow is
expected in some locations, with heavy snow also likely in
and east of the Cascades, as well as the coastal mountain
ranges.
