The Nation's Weather for Wednesday, December 15, 2021
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A potent storm is expected to move onshore in the Northwest
tomorrow, bringing heavy rain, mountain snow and gusty winds
from the Canadian border to Central California as cold air
pushes inland. Another storm is anticipated to produce snow
across the Rockies and powerful winds flow from the
mountains into the Plains. On the warmer side of this storm,
severe thunderstorms are forecast to bubble up in the Plains
late in the day, primarily across Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and
Missouri. Spotty showers are likely across the South Central
states, as well as around the Great Lakes as warmth builds
in the region, potentially breaking December temperature
records. Generally pleasant weather will rule across Georgia
and the Carolinas.
