The Nation's Weather for Sunday, December 12, 2021
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
As a large area of high pressure builds into place over the
central Appalachians, dry weather will be widespread
tomorrow. In fact, about 80 to 90 percent of the United
States is forecast to be dry. In the wake of a potent cold
front, a dramatic switch to cooler, more seasonable weather
is in store along the Eastern Seaboard. In New England,
breezy conditions will stick around, in addition to the
arrival of cooler air. Mild conditions will return to much
of the center of the country. In the West, a potent storm
will continue to make its way farther inland. This storm
will bring drenching rain to large portions of California.
Heavy mountain snow is also in store for the region.
