The Nation's Weather for Saturday, September 18, 2021
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Showers and thunderstorms with localized flooding will
drench southeastern Mississippi, southern Alabama, far
southwestern Georgia and much of the Florida Panhandle
tomorrow. Thunderstorms could rumble anywhere across the
Southeast from eastern Texas to Tennessee to the Florida
Peninsula, but flooding is not expected. Farther north,
showers and embedded thundershowers along a cold front are
forecast to dampen a zone from interior New England to West
Virginia and western Virginia. An area of thunderstorms is
expected through central Utah, with spottier afternoon
activity as far south as northern Arizona and as far north
as western Wyoming. The strongest storm in months will
deliver heavy rain, cool air and locally gusty winds to the
Northwest.
