The Nation's Weather for Thursday, December 29, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Yet another storm system will crash into the West tomorrow,
producing heavy rain and higher-elevation snow. There will
be a risk for flooding and strong winds from Northern
California up through Washington state. A few snow showers
will occur a bit farther west in Idaho and Nevada with some
rain showers down in Arizona. Moisture streaming up from the
Gulf of Mexico will help fuel thunderstorms in eastern Texas
and Louisiana. There will also be some rain and showers
farther north that will reach Missouri. High pressure over
the East will keep most of the area dry, but there will
likely be a few showers in South Florida and heavy snow in
northern Maine. Some snow is expected in parts of Nebraska
while Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan receive some light
drizzle and possibly ice.
