The Nation's Weather for Thursday, December 9, 2021
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
An area of light snow is expected to move across Wisconsin
and Michigan tomorrow. Although the snow will be light,
several inches may accumulate in the northern Lower
Peninsula of Michigan. A spotty shower or two can dampen
areas along the Gulf coast from southeastern Texas to the
far western Florida Panhandle. In the West, a major storm
will bring much-needed rain and mountain snow to western and
central Colorado, much of Utah and Nevada and Central and
Southern California. Some of the snow in the Sierra may be
heavy and can make travel difficult and dangerous. Lighter
rain and mountain snow are forecast to fall in Washington
state, Oregon, northern Idaho and northwestern Montana.
Unusually warm weather will challenge record highs from
southern Kansas to Texas.
