The Nation's Weather for Wednesday, September 21, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms are expected to develop tomorrow afternoon and
evening across the eastern Great Lakes as a storm system
approaches the region. Some of these storms could turn
severe, with damaging wind gusts and hail being the primary
threats. As is typical with intense thunderstorms, heavy
rain and frequent lightning will also be possible. Daily
thunderstorm chances will remain across the Florida
Peninsula, as well as in the Four Corners states as monsoon
moisture remains in place. Occasional rain will linger
across much of Northern California, and the Pacific
Northwest. Meanwhile, the ongoing heat wave will shift out
of the Plains and into the Southeast, with high temperatures
in the 90s and low 100s across the region.
