The Nation's Weather for Monday, May 9, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A storm will bring widespread rain and thunder to the
northern Midwest tomorrow. Some storms in the afternoon
hours could turn strong to perhaps severe, and bring
damaging wind, hail and even isolated tornadoes. The storm
system that brought damp weather to the Mid Atlantic will be
largely off shore, however, lingering showers are expected
to remain across the Midatlantic coast. Meanwhile, a weak
storm in the Northwest will bring rain and snow showers to
the Northwest. However, snow is expected to remain confined
to the higher elevations. Isolated late day storms can also
cross portions of Central Texas, bringing isolated damaging
winds and downpours to these areas. The remainder of the
country is expected to stay dry while any storm does little
to break the building heat in the Southcentral region.
