Regarding the article “Council clashes on clerk’s raise” (Sept. 19):
If there is a question about the city of Greenwood’s raises, it should be about the salaries that doubled, not a less-than-$3,000-a-year raise for a 40-hour work week. Even with the raise, it’s not a decent salary.
