Timothy ‘Big Dawg’ Horton

Services for Timothy “Big Dawg” Horton will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Ruleville.
Mr. Horton, 58, died Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.
He was a transportation driver.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

The Greenwood Commonwealth expanded its newsroom in 2025 by adding Gerard Edic as a reporter covering public safety and other stories of interest to the community.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
