Museum of MS Delta
Regarding the article (“Mills, 2 museum staffers resign,” Aug. 2):
Congratulations, Katie Mills, so glad you have a new position. You were never allowed to run the day-to-day of the Museum of the Mississippi Delta, and you never had the full board’s backing. There is nothing wrong with disagreeing, but do people have to be so disagreeable, rude or resort to bullying?
Close friends, sorority sisters and husband-and-wife associations with the museum board and the Greenwood Convention and Visitors Bureau have been divisive and a disruption, to say the least.
Greenwood is not progressing. Express Grain, Greenwood Leflore Hospital, J.C. Penney’s, Lusco’s, Three Rivers Inn and Suites, the bowling alley. What’s next?
No matter what clique you’re in, stop the personal bickering. Most of you know the employees who resigned. Think about it. They didn’t leave the museum for no reason. One person had more than a 20-year association with the museum.
Shameful, just shameful
Entergy offer
Regarding the Aug. 4 article “Presley: Entergy offer still on the table”:
Citizens of Itta Bena, now you see what you voted for. Apparently, your votes have slapped y’all in the face. Voting for people because of likes is not it.
Every week now, you’re in the dark. The board doesn’t care.
Look at the town as a whole. It’s filthy, and law enforcement is not doing its job. You might as well say the ATVs, golf carts and four-wheelers have taken over the roads.
This whole ordeal is an outrage. Get these folks a better electricity structure.
