Debris removal
Regarding the article “Labor shortage affects debris removal” (Oct. 6):
City tax, county tax, sales tax, income tax, improve property permits, inspection permits. Hmm, let’s see what else we can charge landlords for. Ooo, ooo, I know. Let’s fine them for trash left on their property by a prior tenant who skipped out owing them.
It wouldn’t make sense to try and collect it from the tenants who actually left it there in the first place. They would just skip out on us, like they did the landlord. And besides that, a lot of them have government income that we can’t touch.
No, let’s stick it to the property owner who already pays taxes that fund these services.
