Mississippi Valley State University’s spring choir concert will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Greenwood, and the public is invited.
Admission is free, but donations are always accepted, said Brandon Cash, MVSU’s director of choral activities.
The university’s four choirs — the men’s glee club, the university choir, the women’s chorale and the Valley Singers — will perform various pieces, including soul songs, aimed at inspiring the audience, Cash said.
“We hope that some of the songs that we’ll sing will keep people inspired, keep them rejoiced, regardless of what’s going on,” Cash said.
Cash joined MVSU in 2019. This will be his first time leading a spring concert since the COVID-19 pandemic halted live performances the last two years.
