US 82 Church's Chicken a 'total loss' after fire

A sudden blaze of fire at Church’s Chicken on U.S. 82 Monday afternoon has resulted in a total loss of the restaurant’s interior.
Around 1 p.m., thick, dark smoke could be seen billowing from the building that houses Church’s Chicken and the Double Quick convenience store.

Man charged in gunfire

A Greenwood man is in custody after he allegedly fired shots into a crowd of people Saturday.
Police Chief Terrence Craft said Courtney McGahee, 36, 506 Ave. K, was allegedly involved in a “domestic dispute” with the mother of McGahee’s child Saturday afternoon around 4:20 p.m.
