Man charged in shooting deaths

Greenwood police have charged an 18-year-old man in shootings last week that left two other men dead and another injured.
Police Chief Terrence Craft said Dennis Williams III, 1221 Jones St., has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Man charged in cyclist's death

A Greenwood man has been charged with manslaughter for the death of a rider in last year’s Bikes, Blues & Bayous ride.
Darrell Sproles, 41, 907 N. Park Circle, was arrested Friday and brought to the Leflore County Jail, where he posted bond and was released.
