Coleman sentenced to 10 years, $69 million in restitution

OXFORD — John Coleman, the president of the bankrupt Express Grain Terminals, was sentenced Thursday afternoon to 10 years in prison and ordered to pay more than $69 million in restitution to victims of a fraud that cost farmers and investors tens of millions of dollars.

Man charged in armed robbery at Dollar General

A Greenwood man has been charged with armed robbery in connection with an incident at the Dollar General store on Carrollton Avenue close to Avenue G on Nov. 30.
Jashon Gillespie, 19, 715 Carrollton Ave., was booked Sunday and remained at the Leflore County Jail Monday. He was in Greenwood at the time he was arrested.

Man out of hospital after train accident
