2 women charged in gunfight

Two women are in custody after an argument turned into a gunfight, according to authorities.
Keyundra Tyshunna McGee, 27, 1900 County Road 245, and Jacaraian Neshaye Starks, 24, 600 County Road 362, Itta Bena, have both been charged with aggravated assault by the Leflore County Sheriff’s Department.

Student is shot, killed

A Greenwood teenager was shot and killed Friday morning at M.A. Snowden-Jones Apartments.
Leflore County Coroner Debra Sanders confirmed that Johnny Cage, a 15-year-old student at Amanda Elzy High School, died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.
Cage was found dead at the scene at 9:40 a.m.

Greenwood man dies after drive-by shooting

A Greenwood man is dead after a drive-by shooting on Thursday.
Leflore County Coroner Debra Sanders said Troy Wilson, 38, died Friday morning at 7:57 a.m.
Sanders said Wilson was walking in an area near 1804 Grenada Blvd. around noon on Thursday when he was shot by someone driving by in a vehicle.

3 charged in shooting

Three men have been charged in the Sunday night shooting death of an Itta Bena man.
Deputies have charged 20-year-old Christopher Cross, 19-year-old J.T. Cross and 18-year-old Damien Stone with murder. All three men are Itta Bena residents.
