Grenada Police Department Chief George Douglas confirmed in a press release just after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday that four individuals suffered various degrees of injuries following a shooting Monday night on North Lynch Street.

Progress slow on felon voting rights

It doesn’t look like the Mississippi Legislature is prepared to do much to restore voting rights to felons who have completed their sentence.
Mississippi Today is reporting that lawmakers are inclined to do no more this year than possibly restore voting eligibility to those who get their crimes expunged from their record.

Man charged in fatal shooting

A Greenwood man has been charged in the Monday night shooting that killed one man and wounded two others.
Marko Hunter, 47, 117 E. Gibbs St., has been held since Monday evening at the Leflore County Jail.
