A Nissan Altima with a Leflore County license plate was driven into a brick home at 300 McGehee St. around noon Thursday, breaking into a wall and causing a fire. The house is near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Main Street, and bystanders said they heard a handful of gunshots coming from Main. The car, they said, ran through a fence before hitting the house. They also said a man in the house got out and appeared not to be injured but two men in the vehicle were transported for hospitalization. Greenwood Police Chief Terrence Craft was asked for information but did not immediately provide it. (By Susan Montgomery)
