Two dead in Itta Bena shooting

Details remain sketchy on a shooting Friday night in Itta Bena that claimed the lives of one man and one woman and left seven others injured, according to authorities.
Leflore County Coroner Debra Sanders said the incident took place at around 11:29 p.m., though she could not confirm the location.

A man was shot and killed following what Greenwood’s police chief is calling a drug deal gone bad.
Police Chief Terrence Craft said Keyshawn Bennett, 26, died at David Jordan Apartments early on Monday morning.
