Dr. Ray Girnys, a kind and popular surgeon who moved to Greenwood from New York almost two decades ago, has died from a massive heart attack.
Dr. Girnys was 68 years old.
“Yes, it’s a sad day for us,” said Leflore County Coroner Debra Sanders. “Health care won’t be the same without him. He always had a smile.”
