Fincher’s Inc. has changed owners but not its name, as Melisa Fincher, the last in a trio of Finchers to own the retail business, steps aside.
Jessica Pickens, a native of Water Valley and resident of Greenwood for the past eight years, is taking over the clothing and gift store with her husband, Christopher.

Ex-Bulldog Larry on All-GSC team

Current Delta State Statesmen and former Greenwood High Bulldog and Itawamba Community College product Alex Larry was selected to the All-Gulf South Conference second team this past week as a defensive lineman. Larry, a 6-foot, 285-pound junior, finished his first season at DSU with 30 total tackles (17 solos) and 4.5 sacks.

Greenwood police are looking for five men in connection with an armed robbery of a 10th Street home Tuesday night.
Two male victims told police they had been robbed at gunpoint.
