Woman charged in fatal shooting

A Greenwood woman has been charged with murder in connection with a fatal shooting on Monday.
Colbie Saulsberry, 25, was arrested and charged by Greenwood police Thursday in the death of Joshua Brewer, also of Greenwood. As of Friday afternoon, she remained in the Leflore County Jail on $1 million bond.

Man shot, killed at Brazil Homes

A Leflore County man was shot and killed on New Year’s Eve.
The victim, James Cason, was visiting a friend Wednesday morning at an apartment at Brazil Homes on Luther Drive when someone kicked down the door and shot him several times, Leflore County Coroner Debra Sanders said.

1 woman dies after shooting at restaurant

One woman is dead after she was shot in the parking lot of Greenwood’s No Way Jose restaurant Sunday evening.
Leflore County Coroner Debra Sanders said Keyara McCline, 24, died from gunshot wound injuries at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.

Two fatal shootings occur over Labor Day weekend

Two fatal but unrelated shootings occurred in Greenwood over the Labor Day weekend, each claiming one life.
Greenwood police have arrested and charged a Greenwood man with murder in connection with one of the shootings, and authorities are requesting the public’s assistance in providing leads on the other shooting.
