A Greenwood High School student died from a gunshot wound to the head Monday night.
Leflore County Coroner Debra Sanders said she received a call about a shooting on the 400 block of East McLaurin Street around 8:50 p.m. Monday.

The Office of District Attorney for the Fourth Circuit Court District in Leflore County has dropped its case against Darrell Sproles in connection with the 2023 death of a participant during that year’s Bikes, Blues & Bayous event.

Two Greenwood men have died after a Wednesday night shooting.
The victims were Lasine McKinnon, 48, and Demetrius McClain, 41. Both men died from gunshot wounds, Leflore County Coroner Debra Sanders said.
