Solutions to gun violence are discussed at summit

JACKSON — As the city of Greenwood reeled from a violent August that claimed the lives of five people from firearms, including two over the Labor Day weekend, health care officials, activists and community leaders convened in Mississippi’s capital city to discuss preventative strategies already underway there.

SEC Media Days kick off Monday

The 2025 Southeastern Conference Football Kickoff Media Days will get the ball rolling Monday at the Omni Atlanta Hotel at Centennial Park and The College Football Hall of Fame.
This is the third time since 2018 Atlanta has hosted the SEC’s preseason media days. Dallas, Nashville and Atlanta have hosted the last three events.
