McAdams deserves our gratitude; Cox deserves our support

When I moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, in 2007 to pursue graduate studies in city planning, real estate development, and historic preservation, I had every intention of becoming a real estate developer when I graduated. I imagined myself building neighborhoods and restoring old buildings in a place like New Orleans or Memphis.

The Greenwood Fire Department works to extinguish a fire at a home on the 100 block of Longino Street early Monday morning. The fire ultimately rendered the residence unlivable, but the two residents reported to have lived there were not harmed.

House fire: Residence now unlivable; no injuries

A fire early Monday morning has rendered a Greenwood residence unlivable after a resident was reported to have used a propane tank to heat the inside of the home.
This accident only strengthens the case for the city’s need and current deployment of two warming stations, Fire Marshal Charles Cooley said.

Noise growing at meetings of City Council
