Bilbrey, Diamond Devils open with four-game set at SFA

C.J. Bilbrey’s third season as head baseball coach at Mississippi Valley State University will get started Friday with a four-game series at Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, Texas.
The two teams will play the first game Friday and play a doubleheader Saturday. They will conclude the series with a single game Sunday.

RULEVILLE — Services for Chestine White Smiley of Ruleville will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Byas Funeral Home in Ruleville.
Mrs. Smiley, 84, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026, at her home.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. There will be a viewing immediately before the services.
