Leflore County dominates Ethel to begin Class 1A tournament

It was the Los Angeles Lakers version of “Showtime” Tuesday night in Itta Bena, as the Leflore County Tigers coasted to an 86-33 win over visiting Ethel High School in the first round of the South 1A Tournament.

Lady Bulldogs, Lady Jags ousted from tournaments

The Greenwood High School and J.Z. George girls basketball teams were knocked out of their respective tournaments Monday night.
The Lady Bulldogs (12-18) dropped a 55-45 decision at Senatobia High School in the North 4A Tournament.
