The trial for former City of Winona Alderwoman Sylvia Clark, who resigned her Ward 3 seat on Monday, was a fiasco to say the least. With the defense grasping at “strawman” arguments and hardly able to get the case and evidence in order, it’s easy to say that the first-term official never had a chance in felony case against her.

18-year-old passenger killed in wreck with 18-wheeler

A man was killed Saturday and three others were injured when the car in which they were traveling collided with an 18-wheeler on U.S. 82 west of Carrollton.
Jyveon Hearn of Milwaukee, who just turned 18 on Tuesday, was pronounced dead at the scene by Carroll County Coroner Mark Stiles.
