A Greenwood man has been charged with aggravated assault in a shooting on Saturday that left one man injured.
Michael Fondren, 56, 205 Madison St., was released Monday from the Leflore County Jail after posting $20,000 bond.
Police Chief Terrence Craft said an incident between two men, one of whom is believed to be Fondren, took place at around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday at Broad Street Park.
Craft said Fondren allegedly shot the victim, who was struck around the jaw. The victim was transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Craft said the victim was in stable condition.
Craft said the shooting appeared to be the result of some sort of domestic issue.
