Michael Bankston scattered eight hits over seven innings of work as he led J.Z. George to a 7-2 Region 3-3A win over Amanda Elzy Tuesday in North Carrollton.
Bankston, a sophomore, is now 2-1 on the mound. He threw 109 pitches, walking four and fanning 11. He also contributed at the plate with an RBI double and run scored.
