Mississippi State suited up in the TaxSlayer Bowl last year without Nick Fitzgerald and will be forced to do the same in Saturday’s season opener.
The Bulldogs will be without Fitzgerald against Stephen F. Austin, as their starting quarterback serves a one-game suspension for a violation of team policy.
