The Greenwood 6U all-star softball team made it to the semifinals of the Batesville Bash warm-up tournament last weekend, losing to Batesville 18-3. Greenwood lost its first game in the tournament to Southaven 21-7 but rebounded to beat Grenada 19-13 and Senatobia 14-13. Greenwood trailed 13-10 going into the last inning. A three-run homer by Sutton Evans tied the game and a solo home run from Harper Wilson won the contest. Greenwood plays Louisville at 10 a.m. Thursday in the 6-Under State Tournament in Batesville. If they win, they play the Cleveland All-Stars at 4 p.m. Thursday.
