Greenwood resident and Pineville, Louisiana, native Noah Hinkston was inducted into the Oakland Technical High School Hall of Fame on Friday in Oakland, California. Hinkston, right, stands next to former track coach Ronnie Turner during Friday’s induction celebration. Hinkston was a record-setting track and cross-country athlete at OTHS from 1981-1985, winning the 800 meter and 1,600 meter title races at the Oakland and San Francisco track and field championships in 1984. He also coached the sport for 10 years. Today, Hinkston works as an industrial injury prevention specialist at ATI Physical Therapy.
