The Greenwood Junior Invitational concluded Wednesday at the Greenwood Country Club, where kids of all ages from around the state gathered to compete in the Mississippi Junior Golf Association sanctioned event. Gibson Nickels of Starkville took home first place in the boys 16 to 18-year-old flight and the overall boys title, with an overall score of 141. He shot a 71 on Tuesday and a 70 on Wednesday. Avery Williamson of Starkville also captured first place in the girls 16 to 18-year-old flight and the overall girls title. She shot a 79 on Tuesday and an 85 on Wednesday for a total score of 164.
