The Greenwood Gals 8U fastpitch softball team brought home the first-place trophy at the Batesville Bash warm-up tournament for the recreation all-star teams over the weekend. Greenwood opened with a 15-5 loss to Grenada on Saturday. Rain postponed all games to Sunday, where the Gals caught fire and won four straight. They beat Senatobia 21-2, Hernando 21-1, Southaven 17-0 and Grenada 14-6 in the championship game.
