INDIANOLA — The Pillow Academy girls basketball team opened the season Tuesday with a 60-37 win over Bayou Academy in the Indianola Academy Tournament.
Sophomore Caroline Brock pumped in a game-high 25 points to go with eight rebounds, three steals and two assists.
Senior Jane Rob Pannell had 11 points, a team-high nine rebounds, three assists and three steals. Senior Catherine Grace Lary chipped in with eight points, four boards and two assists.
PA led Bayou 15-6 after the first period, 25-18 at the half and 45-31 heading into the fourth.
The Lady Mustangs continue tourney play today at 6:45 p.m. against host team IA.
The PA junior high girls defeated North Delta 43-26 behind a 17-point performance from Sarah Presley Howard. Georgia Caroline Self added seven points.
