Three players from Pillow Academy and two from Carroll Academy will be playing Friday in the MAIS all-star football games at Jackson Prep in Flowood.
The Mustangs will be represented in the Class AAA/Class AAAA game by offensive/defensive lineman DeAndre Hoover, linebacker Lake Giachelli and running back Floyd Melton IV.
Hoover will be playing for the White team, which is coached by Chuck Darbonne of Cathedral. Giachelli will be playing for the Blue team, which is under the direction of MRA head coach Herbert Davis.
Carroll’s two representatives for the 8-man/Class A/Class AA game are running back/linebacker Jeb Beck and offensive/defensive lineman Logan Hodges.
Beck and Hodges will both be playing for the Blue team. John Holcombe of Tunica Academy is the head coach.
Kickoff for the 8-man/Class A/ Class AA game is at 3 p.m. The second game starts at 6 p.m.
