For the second time this week, the Pillow Academy boys won without two of their top starters.
The Mustangs got a team-high 15 points from senior Powell Scates to overcome the loss of Shane Houston Stephens and Jack Reichle to beat Winston Academy 61-14 Thursday night.
Scates hit 5 of 10 from long range to provide the offensive spark.
Josh Moor added 10 points and six boards, while Lawes McCool chipped in with nine points, two assist and one steal.
The PA girls moved to 7-6 on the year with a 51-22 rout of Winston. The Lady Mustangs led 19-6 at the end of the first period, 28-9 at the half and 43-14 heading into the fourth.
Anna Taylor Hudson led the offensive charge with 13 points, followed by Kaylee Jones with nine.
In junior high action, the PA girls improved to 7-4 with a 25-16 win as Avery Howard went for 11 points.
The PA junior high boys won 58-22 to move to 4-3 as Drew Lamb pumped in a game-high 16 points, followed closely by Haynes Bennett with 15.
Pillow returns to action Saturday at home against Starkville Academy.
